Xiaomi Monitor Light Bar (or similar)

Great product. The desk lighting is high quality, and it helps surprisingly well with reducing eye strain when using the monitor in the dark. The model I bought (Xiaomi Mi Computer Monitor Light Bar, not sponsored) comes with a small circular remote that sits on your desk. You use it to turn the light on and off, as well as to adjust the color warmth and brightness.

The light bar runs on USB power, which is ideal because you can plug it directly into the PC. This way, it turns on when you boot up the computer and turns off automatically when you shut it down.

Another thing to consider is that the remote runs on 2 AAA batteries. This might be a downside for people who dislike dealing with batteries, but for me, it’s a huge plus thanks to rechargeable batteries (which I’ll cover in another post). The batteries need changing every few months, I haven’t really kept track since it hasn’t been an issue for me.

In conclusion, this is a fantastic product that I would include in any setup without a second thought. It’s excellent for students who use their desk for studying or taking notes, night owls, or even people who eat while using their PC, to name just a few use cases.
